l am very happy for him because he seems such a decent person, not that bothered about watching Formula 1 though these days, used to love it but it has become so predictable and to me it seems fixed for the benefit of ferrari

gutted, a mediocre driver at best (ok he could run rings round me but i'm not trying to be a world champion) l think massa deserved it. vettel made hamilton look what he is, average. he is another damion hill. great car, great team, average driver. he is not & never will be a mansell, schumacher, senna, etc. u watch once he starts losing it will be another linford christie. the Jamaican born....... or son on jamican born, whatever because the english will drop him like a stone once he is no longer succesful.

NOT. He does not deserve it. His name will be in the statistics but many of us will regard Felipe as the 2008 Champ. Like the first answer l hate him too.

If Glock had orders to let Hamilton through then it was handed to Hamilton on a silver platter.
Maybe someone thought that it would be good for F1 if Hamilton won the championship.
If Hamilton won in a fair race I'd be happy. Time will tell.

l am happy because he brought it home for McLaren after a 9 year wait. l feel for Felipe though, so close, so so close. l just wanted to give him a great big cuddle (closet Massa fan lol)

l am happy for Hamilton & gutted for Felipe at the same time. It could have swung either way this year, but in the end l think Hamilton just edged it.
On a side note, though, can l just say how absolutely appalling it is to see people saying '' l hate him'' on here. Hate is an incredibly strong word, & l find it very sad that some people genuinely say that & mean it about a person they DO NOT KNOW (no matter how much they may think they do), & have never met in their lives. l personally think it is shocking.

happy is an understatement
he would of had it in the bag weeks ago if it were not for the FIA docking points, giving unfair penalties, & awarding massa points just to help ferrari out. not to mention team orders to let massa win but when another team has a problem & loses time then there is uproar that he apparently let hamilton pass. i'm so glad that the best driver won the championship in the end
also it shows the FIA that they do not control everything but l bet that they were searching for a reason to give hamilton a time penalty for a fair few hours after the race.

Very happy! Two fingers up to the FIA and Bernie Eclestone! Who keep trying to fix it in favour of Ferrari! But Massa was a graceful loser, and seems like a nice guy so hats off to you!

Happy For all the bullshit this season it was the tears of the victor and defeated competitor that spoke volumes to me. These are two young guys who drove their backsides off and accomplished all tehy needed to do in Brazil, someone had to come off worse, that is the nature of the beast! You would have to be a hard sod not to feel for Massa on the podium, could it GET any more emotional for the poor guy??
Great season, more please!

No & here r the reasons why:
1) The English media have gone berserk. 2) Even Sports is putting the season is finish in their top 10 of ''Most exciting finishes ever''. 3) For the majority of the day the link page to the BBC Sports website just carried Hamilton headlines.
Yes he is a top class driver, yes he is world champion, but when the fourth estate shove it down ur throats at every available opportunity, it becomes stale VERY quickly.
Good luck to the lad well done, now media of all sorts, give it a bleeding rest will you?
Rant not over till the paper is inkwell runs dry.
