Would you say Hamilton deserved to win the title last year more than he did this year

He made less mistakes, was more consistent, and but for a gear box problem and some dodgy decisions by Mclaren, he would have been champion in 2007.

This year he has been more spectacular, but he has made an alarming number of mistakes and has been inconsistent.

So you could say that:

2005: Kimi deserved it more than Alonso
2007: Hamilton deserved it more than Kimi
2008: Massa deserved it more than Hamilton

l hate hamilton and he doesnt deserve the title this year and dint deserve it last year either

he is too cocky and someone should ram him off the road a few times and see how he likes it as he does it to most oif the drivers during the season

No.

l think the fact that he lost last year but really should have won

means that he deserves it even more this year.

.

He deserves the WDC because he has a bigger and more meaningful pen*s than all the people that do not understand such things. Dennis recognised his pen*s very early on, in a pubilick tdoilet, and nurtured it into the upstanding pen*s that it is today.

The yellow helmet has it is detractors, but you can not keep a good pen*s down, as shown in the wet this season...

It is true. Last year he WAS much more consistent.

However, Raikkonen had more reliability problems in 2007 then Hamilton. As for team blunders.what about sending both Ferraris out illegally on intermediates in Fuji.?

l would not really say that Hamilton deserved the title more then Raikkonen in 2007.

As for 2008, it is a very tough one. In reality Hamilton is many mistakes should have cost him the title, but brilliant drives elsewhere, along with mistakes from Massa & Ferrari allowed him to recover it.

l would probably conclude that Hamilton did not deserve the title either year, but over the 2 years he has probably been the best driver overall (with Alonso second best).

With a record breaking and stunning rookie season and the expectation of the nation on you -Lewis withstood enormous pressure and did it. He knew what it took to win races and a championship and in only his second year, he did it.
His season was not faultless and at times he was cringingly inept but when he needed to be, he was sublime.

He is a good example of sheer hard work and determination

Wouldnt it be better to say that Ferrari (Team) lost it this year? An engine blowout and a traffic light malfunction spelled doom for Massa.

Last year Hamilton was nearly there on merit, not on other is misfortunes. So l would say it would have been better to have won it last year. Deserved, is another question.

2005, hmmm, cant quite agree with you, Kimi was having trouble to complete races.

l was very annoyed that Hamilton Won it this year because l am a big Massa fan & he deserved it more, & Hamilton did not deserve it last year either to be honest, he needs to calm down because he is far too big headed for a driver in his second season & winning this year is not exactly going to deflate his ego, he really needed a reality check & l am annoyed that because of the Ferrari Team messing Massa about that he did not get one!

Massa really does deserve a championship far more than Hamilton. End of.

First of all l am not sure Hamilton has made more mistakes in 2008 compared to 2007:

In 2007 he drove faultlessly until the European GP at Nurburgring, where he had bad luck when his wheel fell off in qualifying. Starting in 10th he made a series of errors, crashing off in the wet & getting craned back onto the track before pitting for dry tyres too early & spinning off again later on before recovering to finish 9th.

At Turkey he had a puncture, probably caused by locking his wheel up earlier in the race.

At China Hamilton retired when he slid into the gravel trap when entering the pits.

At Brazil he ran wide trying to overtake Alonso & then allegedly pressed the wrong button on his steering wheel to engage neutral, so he made a total of 5/6 mistakes, depending on who u believe & if u blame him for the puncture at Turkey, please correct me or add any more u can think of.

In 2008 Hamilton made two mistakes at Bahrain, when starting the race he messed up the starting process & then ran into the back of Alonso.

At Canada he ran into the back of Raikkonen in the pits.

At France he ran wide & cut a chicane when trying to overtake Vettel.

At Belgium he ran wide overtaking Raikkonen & cut a chicane.

At Japan he locked up his brakes into the first corner.

That gives 6 mistakes, although l would say the two where he ran wide were racing incidents, caused by him having to avoid an accident.

So depending on how u look at things, he arguably made less mistakes in 2008 compared to 2007.

He definitely deserved the title last season, he had a brillient rookie season & was fighting his team-mate the whole time, a double world champion, both drivers taking points from each other. Kimi on the other hand had very little competition from his team mate & the points Massa gave him in Brazil won him the title. Had either Alonso or Hamilton had Kovaleinen (for example) as their team mates, either would have been champion.

In 2008 I'd say it is very close between Massa & Hamilton, but l would still give Hamilton the title as he lost the win at Belgium due to a very dubious stewards decision & he was also extremely unlucky in Canada when the safety car came out as he was leading the race & the incident with Kimi lost him points in two races as he also lost grid position in France due to another harsh decision by the stewards.

My life is simple. l look at the official results and stop there. Who deserves what? Well, if we count that way, everyone will be a champion and no one a loser coz everyone does not deserve bad luck.

So l will just stick to
2005 Alonso
2006 Alonso
2007 Kimi
2008 Hamilton

How can you say Massa deserved it more??
Lewis won, fair and square.
Massa and Lewis both put in alot of dedication, commitment and effort.
But HAMILTON won, like Kimi did last year.
Hamilton lost by just one little point last year, so fully deserved this.
