First off,l am not bashing Carl.l like Carl a lot.l am just going for your opinions, not assuming Jimmie has it.
The most points anyone has ever made up in the last two races is 85(Alan Kulwicki,1992)
l do not think that Jimmie will have another weekend like Texas(doing badly on pure performance,l mean-no one can predict accidents and failures). That was his worst Chase finish in two years and that was a top 15.

l honestly think Jimmie has it, Carl is great he has shown he can be a champ, just not this year.

Do l think he can win? Yes. Carl has been doing great lately. Do l think he will? No. Carl has been doing great, but so has the #48. l think that Jimmie might win at Phoenix & run in the Top 10 at Homestead en route to winning the championship. l do admit that it is weird how many people, even writers for NASCAR.com, have said that it is Jimmie Johnson is championship this year & now Carl has been gaining on him lately like this. Carl will give it all he has, but l think he will fall up short.

Yes, but only if Jimmie has bad luck. Anything can happen.

Well Jimmie has it, you just want us all to say it. LOL
Not a Jimmie fan.but even less a Carl fan.sooo Jimmie hopefully takes it. Oooorrr...even better..Carl and Jimmie take each other out on the first lap of the next two races and Greg Biffle wins them both coming from 140+ points back and and steals the show!!! :0)

l think he is got a pretty good shot at the nationwide series title as bowyer is more likely to choke than jimmie - he and chad both sweat ice water.

l believe he could, and l do not like him. l think he is a ticking time bomb. When things are going good for him he is cool, but when things do not go his way he starts fights and get into it on the track.

l think carl will win his first championship in 2008. The reason l say that is l put the gree gree voodoo on Jimmy Johnson so the 48 will finish 43rd in the next 2 races. Carl will win the next 2 and take home the cup. l am not a big fan of either one but anyone but Johnson.

If Carl can win and lead the most laps, and say Jimmie has another bad race ( l mean real bad), then we will have to wait till Homestead, this is a silly season.

l do think Carl can pull it off. He has the momentum of 2 straight wins, along with the performance in the Nationwide series. Hes got things rolling and it will keep up till the checkered waves in Homestead, and hes won 2 out of 3 championships.

honestly l would like to see carl pull off the championship,( no disrespect intended toward johnson fans) but realistically l dont think there is a chance Carl can make up that many points in 2 races Knaus and Johnson are just to good to have problems that would lose the championship they know how to get the job done and l think JJ will be a 3 time champ at homestead.

l really Carl would win the Cup, but l am afraid JJ has already sealed the deal.

If he is not mathematically eliminated l still say yes he can still win it. l mean, its going to be a tough job to do because like you said Jimmie just doesnt have that many bad(off) days. He just doesnt.

l think Carl can still do it. But in order for that to happen Jimmie needs to have another bad finish. Which l do not think he will because he is too good. But l also think he can beat Clint for the Nationwide title. Let is face it. Carl has the momentum now. And all he has to do is continue doing what he is doing. Winning races and continue putting the pressure on both Clint and Jimmie. l hope he can pull it off.

l agree with Kevin P - Carl is a ticking time bomb, nice when things are good for him, but just the opposite when things aren't. Not a Johnson fan at all, but sad to say l think he has this season wrapped up. :( :( :( l am already looking forward to next season.

Nope, l think Jimmy has the edge. Problem being, anything can happen as we've already seen. This one may go right down to the wire but l look for Jimmy to win it.

Carl has the best chance of all the challengers for the title(other than J.J.). Can he do it,yes. Will he, l think so.

l think Jimmie Johnson has it but l do think Carl Edwards will give him a run for his money. l think Jimmie will probably win at Phoenix this week but carl will be in the top 10. l think like carl said if he is only within 100pts leaving phoenix he might apply the pressure at homestead but l do not think Jimmie will falter.
Go Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team!!!
Let is go for 4 in a row in 2009!!!
