Ryan Newman has a good record at Martinsville. Over the past 5 years, his average finish is 9.8 with 4 top 5s and 5 top 10s.

I'd like to see Jeff get his win there, but he is really not a dark horse, so l will say Bobby Labonte. He is had some good races lately and gotten caught up in wrecks, so who knows. it could happen.

dale jr. will be up there but l do not think he will win, maybe tony, but it was up to me l would want Kyle Bush, he mite have a good chance, or jeff gordan, because of how good he did at the ''Bank of America 500 being a lap down just when the race started and banging up the side of his car, and still finishing in the top 12

l know this driver is not considered as a dark horse but he has a few top fives at Martinsville the last few years and that driver is Kyle Busch. Busch has struggled on the short flat tracks this year but l believe he will have a good run at Martinsville and may contend for the win also

The 2 darkhorses to watch r Juan Pablo Montoya & Jamie McMurray. Martinsville is a flat, technically demanding track & the saying there is u have to slow down to go fast. Both of these drivers have grasped that concept. Typically, the better road course drivers r the ones that do best at the Paperclip. Juan is obviously one of those & a lot of people do not realize just how good Jamie is at the road courses. Juan is average finish in 3 races at Martinsville is 12.13 & Jamie has finished in the top ten 63.6% of the time. Denny, Jeff, Tony & obviously Jimmie r still the favorites to win but either one of these darkhorse drivers winning would not surprise me either. Jamie is car has been REALLY fast lately & he is an excellent fantasy pick again this week. 3 STR8 N 08!!!

Martinsville is another of those darn wild card tracks, anything can happen. Denny Hamlin is a good dark horse he needs a win and got one this past spring at Martinsville.

Not sure if Denny is considered a dark horse, but I'd pick him. If not, then Jeff Gordon to get his 1st win of '08!
