Of all the tracks on the circuit, l think Martinsville would be the easiest to put some kind of roof or dome over. All we need to do is convince ISC to put up some cash.
Marinsville already has lights. All it needs is a cover of some kind to keep the rain off the track, it does not need walls. Yeah, it is pretty darn noisy already. A roof would make it much worse.
There are many races already being held indoors, so it can be done, just not at the Cup level. The Chili Bowl is indoors, Atlantic City has an indoor race, and Chicago even had indoor drag racing back in the 60s.

No. At Bristol you go deaf without a roof. You can not enclose these NASCAR tracks.

this is a sign NASCAR need to to fix their Qualifying setup,because this is 2nd straight week this happen..anyway they should use a truf for the race track when it rain..that old technology there and it is cheaper

Make em qualify Saturday Morning. nothing happening then.

Besides, NASCAR is an outdoor sport. Not indoors.

Edit: Even so, that would require way too much construction, some areas might have to be cleared off just to put in all those support beams, lights, and all those other things. l just do not see it happening.

l think you would have an exhaust and smoke problem there. So l would have to say no to the roof idea. Sorry. But it would be awesome. Maybe paint the cars in flourescent paint and turn the lights off with just black lights on and race. It would be like midnight bowling

Between the noise amount and the fumes, it is not practical to put a dome or roof over ANY track. We just have to take the rain as it comes, but it is getting pretty darn frustrating seeing rain-outs all the time for qualifying.

What really needs to be done with qualifying is to allow for the drivers to qualify on Saturday should the need arise.

Having been to Martinsville a few times , l would have to say NO!!!! The fumes would kill you, l would think. It is an interesting concept though.

They could make it like a ''pole barn'' with a canvas cover.huge, but it could be done with the right frame-work. Then it would not be enclosed.better ventilation, and would be protected from rain! These rained out qualifying and rain delays are getting rediculous.
