and.... who do you think will replace Raikonen if he goes.im rootin for vettel or rosberg

rosberg stands an good chance..but again der is 2 yrs to go.still rosberg have proved himself and may stand a chance.but if williams are back and become an top team by then.Rosberg himself wont prefer quitting williams.

Vettel though has an big chance..and if he puts up some good show next 2 years..and out shine his temate(again) ie- mark webber..then he will surely be seen in an ferrari...

It may have been a psychological ploy or it may be that they believe that this year is just a blip and that next year is Ferrari will restore Kimi to his former heights, personally l believe that they have confidence in Kimi to bounce back and be quicker than ever next year.

As for hypothetical replacements l would like to see what Webber could do in a top line car.

Nope, not at all, he may be behind massa now, but he will go through next year,

and l think ferrari have realistic chance of going with vettel or maybe alonso if renault doesnt' develops to challenge the top slot

They were too quick to give him any contract, in my opinion.

The best driver in F1 is easily Alonso. Two wins this season in a Renault & other respectable results along the way. If Alonso was driving the Ferrari this year, l think the titles would likely be won.

Vettel or Rosberg r too young. Ferrari needs someone who can develop the car, set up the car & be strong enough to build the mechanics, strategy, testing around him. Alonso is the only one who checks all those boxes.

Raikkonen won a title for Ferrari which is enough for them to want to keep him. Despite generally having a poor season, he is shown enough spark in some races for them to retain him in the hope that next season they will have the old Kimi back again.

l think they will sign Vettel in a couple of seasons to replace whichever driver is slowest at the time.

Raikkonen will come good so ferrari were definately right to give him a new contract, lets not forget he was WDC for them last year, and he has shown he was got quality.

Vettel in the long run to become and ferrari driver, but l think he needs a season or two with red bull first!! and Alonso- without a doubt, this guy up there with the best, and deserves to be in a decent car
