i can not belive this, the guy has been screwed out of ine championship already by the Ferrari biasedFIA, and they've spared no opportunity to do it this again time. he is done a damn good job so far, we could have seen an unbeate rookie, is not that supposed to be 'great'? and l agree, he is not great yet, l never refered to him as one, raikkonen is.
just look at Heiki is season so far, he is no average driver, 2002 ROC chanpion, nissan word series champion with races to spare etc etc. and he has been blown away....
oh l am sure Gamilton is car will bear the no 1 mark on it next season.

He is not done enough to be considered great yet & wont until he is at least a triple world champion. He has gone some way to silencing those who accused him of ''choking'' last season though, but he need to win the title now to really shut them up.

His current record of 12 poles & 9 wins is a lot better than Schumacher is was at the same stage in his career & if he does win the title this year he will be the youngest ever champion, which does say a lot.

there is so much more to being a great F1 driver than winning races and chmpionships. no doubt Hamilton is a very good driver, but he still has along way to go before he can even be mentioned in the same sentence with the sports heroes. for one, he has to pay attention to what he says, more often than not he jkeeps getting his foot in his mouth.

He wo not have silenced the critics until he wraps it up, last year he had a 7 point lead going into Brazil and we all know what happened so he will silence the critics in Brazil unless he chokes

Critics can never be silenced. They're everywhere, they're the negative aspect of living. It is all part of the ''tall poppy syndrome''.

The ''tall poppy syndrome'' is exactly as it implies. A gifted person who stands out from the crowd, he/she endures, achieves & conquers. A ''tall poppy'' is usually a winner.

Out come the 'critiques' or 'critics', hellbent on bringing that person down because they cannot bear the success of the 'tall poppy'.

You will find critics everywhere, in all sport, in schools putting their 'mates' down, in the workplace, in the 'celebrity' world & anywhere, where one stands tall & succeeds.

Greatness is too big a term to use. He is 2 seasons into his career. He is a punchy quick racer but lets chill on greatness. When he is winning titles consistently & blowing off the best in the field without missing a heartbeat, then l will agree with you.
He is good, but he is no Schumacher, Clark, Piquet or Fangio!

l do agree though, his drive yesterday was sensible stylish & shut everyone up. Lights to flag, pole fastest lap & win? Thats a confidence booster if l ever saw one. His mother(s) must've been very proud of their boy.
