Guys, l need help with mebecoming a race car driver.Should l start racing next year? Do l had to go to a racing school to learn the basics of racing? Should l ask my parents is it OK for me to become a NASCAR driver next year? l just turned 18 this year and should l ask NASCAR if it is OK for a girl to race? This has always been my dream since l was only 4 years old when my Dad got me started into the world of stock car racing! And now l am a huge NASCAR fan and my top 5 drivers are Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, and Jeff Burton. Should l write a letter to NASCAR about the rules and how do l become a race car driver? Please post good feedback on here and advice for my racing dream. Should l go email my mom about my dream of becoming a race car driver? l love stock car racing and l wish l can race in the Daytona 500 one year because Daytona is my favorite speedway! Well, if it were that easy to become a NASCAR driver l am sure everyone would be doing it. You probably needed to start racing about 10 years ago in go karts or something.or have a billionaire dad.

You are too old to start. Should have started years ago. These days, an 18 year old has a ride on the CUP circuit. NASCAR is not something you walk up and decide to try. Tens of thousands of home track racers around the country would give their eye teeth just for the chance to drive in ANY NASCAR series.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but at your age, it is never going to happen for you.

The best way to do it would be going to a tech school and getting an automotive trade and settling somewhere in north carolina. Find a job in a small race shop and ease into the sport that way.

im 13 years old & l just started racing stock cars in the allison legacy series. allisonlegacy.com l started racing go-karts at 9 so u r deffinatley too old. its not something u just learn overnight. u have to have years of racing experience & u have to be good enough to get recognized by a car owner. plus u cant just get into nascar u would have to go to arca our the hooters pro cup series first if not both. all of the racers in nascar have been racing their whole lives, even the drivers that dont do so good week in & week out. plus if u did not know only about 1 out of every 1200 home track racers around the country even get noticed by a small team. so to sum it all up, u dont have a chance.
