l am sick and tired of races starting because of owner points.NASCAR needs to change the rules to make every attempt to have the racing field set by running qualifying laps.What are your ideas?

l think they should give the guys that are always in the back a chance to start up front but that is just my thoughts

as the nascar.com article discussed, with multiple series running & the need for practice being much more important than the need to run a qualifying lap or two, it is the best we've got for the moment. l do like the suggestion of doing everything humanly (and inhumanly) possible to qualify the go-or-go-homers. as for the rest (and if they can not qualify the go-or-go-homers), then i'm happy with lining them up by points. those guys up front earned those spots. i'd be a little happier with letting them start in order of owner is points, but randomizing pit choice selection.

l think it is the best system I've ever heard before. The guys up front earned those spots through racing, just not qualifying.

I've never seen qualifying get rained out so much as this year. l am almost expecting it every week now.

l think it needs to be changed too maybe do a random draw that way it would be fair

Setting the field by points is a great idea only if this was used once or twice a year. But once we get to number ten its just annoying! l feel the field should be set randomly. The top 12 in points should be safe but other then that everything else is RANDOM.

l think the best solution would be to let the drivers qualify using a Nascar video game or a simulator of some kind. The only people that get screwed when qualifying gets rained out are the drivers outside the top 35 who are not in on points. If l ran, Nascar I'd do maybe 1 or 2 heat races the morning of the race for the drivers outside the top 35. A 10 or 15 lap shootout would make for great tv, and I've never been a big fan of single car qualifying.
