Mears will drive his new car for 2009 and Mark Martin will drive his new car for 2009 in the Homestead race this year. It was said during the Atlanta race that Mark Martin is obligated for 2 more races with DE l and after that then he will drive the last race this year in the HMS #5 car.

l think l heard it was a rumor, but really now it is very likely that he will be, and what most people think.

UPDATE: hearing that Mark Martin may get started on his ride a few races early & running the #5 Carquest/Kelloggs Chevy for Hendrick Motorsports in the final four races [Atlanta , Texas, Phoenix, Homestead] of the 2008 Cup season.
