Sounds like you already answered yourself. But to be precise, Massa needs to finish 7 points ahead of Hamilton.

So if Massa is 1st, Hamilton must be 6th or worse. If Massa is 2nd, Hamilton must be 8th or worse. If Massa is 3rd or worse, Hamilton is WC

l do not think Massa should win the championship - he does not deserve it. He is amassed points simply through other people being penalised & through Kimi moving over for him. If u take off all the points he is got by not winning races or getting them through his driving, he would not be in the position to win & Lewis would be champion already. On my understanding, Massa has at least 5 points (maybe more) that he has not earned so that would put Lewis on 12 points ahead & a champion.

Win and Lewser crashes.

He could sneak into the Mclaren garage and cut the brake lines on Hamilton is Mclaren. That is the only way Massa could win it this year.

Personally l hope Massa does win because l think he deserves it more.
It relys on Hamilton not qualifying on the front row really. If he does, he should keep his head & finish above 5th, if not he will probably do something stupid or just get unlucky by getting caught up in the commotion of the opening lap & falling a few places.

l am one of the people who, like most of the media outside of the UK, who believe that there is no Ferrari conspiracy in Steward is decisions. But, even if you're right & Massa has gained five points he did not deserve from stewards, consider the points Massa lost rough no fault of his own:
Australia: (almost the only car not to retire because of a colission) 6 points, as he was running in 3rd (engine)
Hungary: 10 points as he was running in first, plus his retirement gained Hamilton an extra point (engine)
Singapore: 10 points he lost, Hamilton gained a point because of it.

All those give him a net gain of 28 points, which even taking off the points he ''did not deserve would give him a lead of 16 points over Hamilton, meaning he'd already have the championship.
All Hamilton is errors r his own fault, Massa deserves the championship.

Try to avoid setting off down the pit lane with the fuel rig and a mechanic attached :-)
