It is gonna always be a ''Bad Day Again'' for somebody until they get all the ''bugs'' worked out with the COT, new Toyota teams, re-surfaced tracks, weather, etc. l do not think we can really blame it on Goodyear.

Kyle is problem came when the bead melted off because he does not know how to brake the right way at Martinsville. Did you notice that it was the same cars over and over that were having trouble? Not just random tires popping.older more experienced drivers know how to save their brakes. Let is not make excuses for Kyle, and start pointing fingers.

that race was so long ago l think all of us have gotten over it. The Kyle Busch one was funnier.

Sorry JGG, they were never really that big of a hit with me, more like salt in open wounds, l just chose to never get my panties in a bunch over them. The Goodyear thing, l am sure they will figure it out.

As much as l hate Goodyear, Sunday was not Goodyear is fault. It is a heat management problem due to car setup by the teams. Not every car was having trouble and it was only a few teams. When the bead of a tire melts, it is hard to blame the manufacturer.

Kyle Busch had his brake rotor on the right front in flames because he did not know how to drive the COT on a short track. He melted the tire bead.

Every year there is a different issue with the tires. Maybe they ought to try a different manufacturer. l do not know what NASCAR is contract is with Goodyear.

l am waiting to hear what Tony says tonight on his show. l am curious what he thinks. He is been quiet lately.makes me wonder about that private meeting he had w/ Goodyear.

There were no tire problems, just brake, setup and driver problems.

they are putting tires intended for the old car on the new car. The tires are a problem in themselves, but unless and until they address both issues, there is going to be more issues to look forward to

The brake rotors on the new cars heat up to between 1100 & 1300 degrees.The tires r meant to hold about 300 degrees of heat maximum before they start melting & beading up.Some of the tires were getting too hot because:
-braking:driving style and/or car handle(i.e. the car wo not roll through the middle as well & they hold the brake pedal a little further into the corner & strip the already beaded tire)
-camber:the more camber u have in the tire,the more u r leaning on it.This causes further stripping when the tires r that hot.
-smaller air ducts for the brakes:The air ducts on the COT r considerably smaller than the previous car,which contributes to the heating & beading of the tires.


Some of it may have been inexperience,but like some have said here,even past champions(Stewart & Busch) were having this problem.That leads me to believe that it was probably one of the aforementioned issues,rather than experience on their part.
