l heard Steve Byrnes say on This Week in NASCAR earlier that Ford is pulling out of the truck series,so l went to look it up.This is what l found.Apparently,Ford and Dodge,along with Craftsman are pulling out.Any thoughts?

Both are dropping out? Wow, l did not see that coming. It sure will be weird seeing only the Chevys and Toyotas on the track.

Well there goes the truck series.

Its yet been announced a sponsor for the series next year, one of their best drivers is driving a car unsponsored, and now dodge and ford are pulling out.

l do not blame them. Why sink money into a sport when the people in charge of NASCAR let is another manufacturer go half of the season having a horsepower advantage. It does not make sense for American companies to be pouring a lot of money into the sport so some foreign manufacturer can come in & sink all of their money into research & development. l look for them to do the same in the Nationwide series too before long. Chevy has already pulled sponsorship of several tracks. l think that serves as a real good example for the France family who is really in charge of this sport. Let is see Toyota support this sport & how popular NASCAR will be running nothing but Toyotas. Brian France let Toyota go nearly 3/4 of the season in the Nationwide series before they've decided to try to level the playing field. NASCAR would not even let Chevrolet use their new R07 engine in the Nationwide series but they let Toyota use their new engines. In the cup series NASCAR has only tested the engine is horsepower twice when in the past they have tested 4 times by now. Something is fishy & l think Ford knows it & also everyone else with half a brain.

There goes the original car manufacturer and a piece of American history. Bad stock markets suck.

It sucks, hopefully Ford and Dodge will come back to the Truck series once the economy bounces back.

l agree with Tina. The teams and manufacturers have always restricted their spending in the truck and Nationwide series.

Toyota has spent hundreds of millions of dollars and lobbied hard to get their latest stuff approved while Nascar has denied Ford and Chevy is latest engines in truck and Nationwide.

80% of Nascar fans are fans of Ford or Chevrolet. Nascar is attempting suicide and they do not even know it yet.

Yes, Craftsman is leaving at the end of the season. This has been known all year long. Dodge has taken away all of it is factory support from the truck series, but teams r still welcome to use Dodge if they wish. They just have zero factory backing or support. Ford is pulling financial support only. They r still offering technical & engineering support to the Ford teams in the series, so Ford is not leaving the truck series. They just wo not be paying teams to run Ford trucks any longer.

They're not pulling out of the series..they're just pulling their financial support. There is a big difference between the two. Teams will still be allowed to run with the Ford or Dodge nameplates, but the R&D will be left strictly up to the teams.

Yea it sucks. The attendance to the truck races is very low also. It might not be around much longer. A lot of the sponsors are pulling out because of the low attendance levels.
