What ever happen to JJ Yeley? He drove the #96 DLP Toyota for the first half of the season or so and just disappeared? l remember hearing he was dismissed for... something but do not remember exactly??

l think he was just dismissed because of the way things were going. l feel bad the guy. But at least his troll friend(s) on here do not do anything anymore. Trolls just kind of come and go, you know?

If l remember correctly, J.J. said that if indeed he could not find a ride for the Cup series, then he would go back racing in USAC.

He is had zero success so l am surprised he is gotten this many opportunities.

He basically got dumped because Hall Of Fame Racing
needed to get the 96 back in the top 35 in owners points.
Plus, Joey Logano was trying to make some races before he got dumped too... Seems to be a pattern here. If Roger Staubach & Troy Aikman were still majority owners of HOF racing, this crap would have never happened.

His performance was simply not there. l feel he was brought up to the cup series too soon by Gibbs and he should have run Nationwide at least one year before cup and now he is out of a ride. JJ has talent and perhaps he will find a ride in some form of racing

J.J. has not had any luck in the Cup cars outside of a few good finishes. He is got all the talent in the world with a couple of USAC sprint car titles to prove it. His finishes in the Nationwide series were much more consistent than in Cup. It is unfortunate, but maybe it is for the best. Like everything in sports, the TEAM is essential & who u have on it makes all the difference.

Nascar is a rough business these days. It takes a TON of sponsorship money to run a team. That said, the pressure to perform at a high-level is greater than ever before.

Hope J.J. gets another shot.

My guess is that Joe Gibbs thought he was like most of the new drivers in cup today. He did not have good success. l am sick of the underground drivers that win in Nationwide & then suddenly get a cup ride. Drivers such as Joey Lagano, l think that he is going suck uberly. And drivers like David Stremme, he is going to get dumped.

Now drivers like Martin Truex, he has made a name for himself, but then again, he has won 2 Nationwide titles.

Like alot of people r saying, he needs a couple more years in nationwide.

its unfortunate that he lost his ride he went from a decent season to going to a team with less funding and no one to work with and now he does not even race if he was back on a decent team he would probably be doing good
