same as last year all the other drivers are scared to get in there and race afraid they will get punished for racing a chase driver.

l do not keep up with NASCAR is ratings. You say that ''NASCARs ratings up when Kyle Busch was running up front and now they are down in the chase''. Can you please post a link to prove this?
It may have nothing to do with Kyle winning or losing. People have other things on their minds, like the upcoming election, losing their homes, their jobs, etc. Or it could be that Kyle is fair weather fans quit watching when his luck ran out.

Because now it has to compete with the NFL. And even in bad cities the left turn circuit can not keep up.

Jimmie is going to win his 3rd in a row. Look at teams like the Yankees, Pats, Bulls in the 90's, or the Red Sox. Not to take anything away from JJ but, people get bored watching the same person/team win over and over and over.

and then the ''show'' for all those Bandwagon Fans came to an abrubt end when Carl Edwards stepped up & had to finish what ''Rowdy'' started. l do not think the ratings changed much, but it is just the trend that u perceive. The sad thing about football is, l would not watch it unless my home team was playing. The thing that makes NASCAR a better sport is, all the teams, play all the time. l think that is why it makes it easier for NASCAR fans to be a fan of the underdog. Those r the fans that make the best base for any sport! NASCAR fans r the best.

because the chase started at the same time football season did, early in the year when busch was winning there was no compitition. now it is going up against the most popular sport in america.
