I am pro l was just curious of other people opinions.

It is as they always have an invocation before every race

It seems to be very important to most drivers, etc. l also find it to be very important. There is a prayer before every race by a local clergyman of some respect. It always asks God to bless and watch over the drivers, crews, fans, etc, and for a safe race.

It is should be important to everyone but especially the drivers when they get inside that car. COT or not they still can be killed.
To see the drivers and crews and fans with their heads bowed is touching. And you would hope that it is real and not just tradition and what they should do for the cameras.for some it is real l believe.

It seems like it is very important to most drivers and they do their own thing (religion Christian wise) before the race.

Though l think, more important to them then religion, is the love for the Country, USA, and that is the singing of the National Anthem and thanking the troops. Also thanking god too.

For people of faith, our relationship with God is important to all aspects of our lives. l am glad when sports events r started with prayer. As a short track race driver, l feel that God has gotten me through some wrecks where l could have easily been injured.

Last week l attended the big end of season race at South Boston Speedway in Virginia. At the end of the Late Model Stock Car race, the winner, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion, Philip Morris mentioned that prayer was a big part of his team is success. He said that he did not know if he could drive in a race where he could be seriously injured or killed unless he knew where he would spend eternity.

l suggest that listening to God in all aspects of our lives is very important, whether ur office can go 200 mph or not.

l say it is pretty important they pray before every race and do moment of silence if someone in the NASCAR community his died.

They do a prayer before every race. As for religion being important, l honestly can not say. l imagine it is to some or most. But NASCAR does not revolve around religion. If it did, l would think they would race on Saturdays.
