If the sport goes to standard engines, that is it for the sport! It is absolutely ridiculous! What is the point of having WCC if everyone is using the same engine? Bernie and Max are NOT making the sport any better; they are basically killing it!

l read that the teams would be capped on their engine development and those that bought engines could choose a standardised FIA engine of a manufacturer is price capped engine for 5mill? Alyhough that might have been a dream and all cars will be fitted with a Fiat 500 engine..

Yeah well, Bernie is completely lost it this time. Axing the Canadian GP & now this. The point of F1 is for the manufacturers to compete to see who is the best constructor. IF we have standardized engines.. what will the teams be called? There'd be no more Ferrari, BMW SAuber, McLAren Mercedes etc

While it is good that they r taking cost-cutting measures, they r cutting costs in all the wrong places. They should actually make it less expensive for hosting an F1 race. Instead of standardizing the engines, they could try standardization of the KERS instead.

you might be amazed at how many components on a formula1 car are standardized, mostly because the prat in question is just made so well that the teams cant improve on them, but the engine is not one of them

its just more of the trend from the FIA and FOM to fix it till its completely broke
