This new rule about cars not being allowed to come into the pits when the SC is out gives a window for teams to play with their drivers. I am not exactly saying it happened in Singapore, but is not a bit convenient....ALonso started way way back, and which car will put in a light fuel load when they are at the back and they are on a street circuit? And then right after his stop, his teammate crashes in such an unlikely spot in a safe manner which has enough damages to bring out the SC. Already ensuring Alonso is in a very good spot and that good spot turned out to be a win.

Why can not Force India or Honda or someone do this next time around to get some points? After what Nelson could achieve in Hockenheim, Renault must have had an idea that Alonso could also do something like that from the very back. On second thought, maybe l really do think Renault planned this

The FIA is addressing this issue and I've been informed from a very reliable and not quite bladdered source that they will introduce the SC on an ad hoc basis from now on, with or without a reason or secret pre-planned signalling from Ferrari.

There is no way to plan that. Remember that Alonso also had Kubica and Rosburg in front of him. No way to anticipate that they would dive into the pits when they did, and get penalized.

Crashino is accident was not safe by any means. The right side of his car was erased. Unlikely manner? I've seen people on freeways spin and crash exactly the same way Piquet did.

It would take a heck of a lot of subterfuge.
The SC period has been 'used' as a sign to go into the pits for a swift advantage on your rivals. If teams see fit to use it for a more devious manner than that its a tad contrived and pre-meditated and not in the racing manner. l do not think its proper to have a team mate crash and destroy a car just so the other driver can be at an advantage! Thats so devious!

It is easy on a street circuit, just bump the barrier and stay there - SC.

On an open circuit like the ones to come it would take quite an incident and l am not sure all the damage + risk to the driver is worth it at all. except maybe Brazil, as the pit straight is wall|track|wall.

He does have a point.

He is not creating conspiracy theories, as many would prefer to claim.

He is just pointing out a possible flaw in the sports regulation which would allow Kova or Kimi play a decisive part in the WDC in an unsportmanship manner.

Not saying they would do it, but it is FIA job (or someoneelse?) to improve the sport to avoid this possibility.

Remember also, that 2nd drivers dont need to risk lives to promote a SC.
And l wonder if FIA would punish their respective #1 drivers, if the #2 stop in the middle of a turn in purpose. ( l dont know what would be the right thing to do)
