For me, Mark Martin. He is pretty much the last of the true veterans, or at least the last of them that can still run competitively with the young guns.

YOu hardly ever see him in nascar anymore but when Kenny Schrader finally decides to end all the racing that he does, it will be sad to see he leave.

l may be in a minority, and despite what I've said about some of his driving of late, I'd have to say, when Kyle Petty finally hangs up his helmet for good, it is going to be a sad, sad day. He is a fine driver who, although he has not won more than a handful of races, is a class act, and has been a prominent face of NASCAR for well over 20 years.

Mark Martin. Definitely.

Not many drivers, or other athletes, have his class.

l survived when Rusty and DJ retired but l still miss them. l do not think Mark Martin will ever retire after he has said for 3 years he was retiring. But l suppose if Dale Jr retired the track would never be the same for me so it would be Dale jr.

Because Kyle Petty is my favorite l guess l can not say him. So l will have to say Mark Martin or Kenny Schrader

l have to agree with Mark Martin.
He is a class act. He will work with the baby faces of NASCAR. If someone is faster or is running better, he will yield to them and not hold them up.

He is mature enough to now, that some days, are not his day, and other days, 'Some kid needs a spankin' and he is man enough to do it.

Hmm. This is hard because my first choice would be Bobby LaBonte but it cant be my favorite.

Jeff Gordon, l am not the biggest fan but he is the face of Nascar. People would argue Jr. but more non-Nascar fans know Gordon.

Those of us that are old school Nascar really miss Tim Richmond. He could drive anything with wheels, usually better than everyone else.

Since you wo not let me pick Mark Martin (he is one of my favorite drivers), l will go with Jeff Burton. He gives such thoughtful to the questions he asked, works hard, does not hog the spotlight, does not complain, classy; in short, he is a lot like Mark.

Basically, every good & positive thing a fan can say about this driver l agree with... He is just a great person. & will be written down as one of NASCAR is greatest.
It will be the worst for me if he retires.
