carl like bounced off the wall on purpose. why did he do that?

he was trying to pass jimmie so he tried to to a clide job in the turn witch means he didint brake as much as a driver would going into a turn and he hoped his tires would stick or when he hit the wall it wouldent slow him down

Yes he bounced off the wall on purpose cause he did it in a video game and l guess he figured it worked there l guess it will work in real life, he found out the hard way he was oh so very wrong.

He got into the turn too hard after passing Jimmie and slid up into the wall because he could not control the car that well. At the time l was thinking that that would be the move of the year.

Carl did not exactly hit the wall on purpose. He wanted to win and he wanted to try something. He pulled a slingshot move past Jimmie and he had him cleared for a few seconds, but the pull caused him to slide up and into the wall, and ultimalty finish 2nd.

That is Carl is home track and he wants to win there more than any other Cup track.

It was not that he wanted to pound the wall like he did. He just wanted to scuff it a bit. If he had not hit it quite so hard and lost all his momentum, he would have probably won. l still think it was a gutsy move for the win. 2nd place or not.

Carl was desperate to win at Kansas.
He would've tried the high, but Jimmie had the line covered.
So knowing he had nothing else, he just went for it & sent it in the turns a little faster than Jimmie. the speed difference vaulted him temporarily in the lead..
But the car did not stick to the bottom & went up the track & hit the wall
That slowed him down & put him back in second.
That was a very exciting move though..
He then referred the move to the video games of NASCAR..

That move was pure desperation and frustration on the part of Carl Edwards. He knew he was beat and did the last thing he could think to do that might somehow end with him in victory lane. l think he knew it would not work but if Jimmie had got nervous and made a mistake things may have gone Carl is way.

Carl wanted to win. Johnson was winning and Carl was Second. In turn 3 on the last lap, Carl gave it all he could to pass Johnson and did, but he took the corner so fast, his car did not stick in the corner and he hit the wall. It slowed him down a lot and Johnson passed him to win. Carl did not hit the wall on purpose, he wanted his car to make the corner at a speed to fast. It did not work out.

yeah he did it on purpose. He claimed he ''had done it in video games and l could run wide open against the wall'' He thought he could go the same speed against the wall than off it and he bounced off of it and it got him loose. You can see in a replay of it, he tries to recorrect his car when he comes off the wall instead of going straight, and that gave Jimmie Johnson the chance to take it back from him
