What is your opinion on this? l am under the impression that if you pass below the yellow line when forced, then you can improve your spot. If Smith was in the lead and say for example, Dale Jr did exactly what Smith did today. Do you think that they would have ruled it differently? l would be willing to bet that in that case, jr would have been doing donuts around the track.
As if the younger drivers that arent on the super teams dont have enough to worry about with staying in the top level of racing, and sponsorship,they get jipped out of a win. NASCAR messed up today...ON THEIR OWN RULES!

yes it was a totally unfair call. If it had been Jr doing that Jr would have won. But no, it is Tony vs a rookie and NASCAR does not want the Smoke fans to stop watching so they give him the win. Total crap, and l do not know what you can expect out of Mike Helton. He is got 90 percent of all NASCAR fans against him all the time.

Let is face it, if Dale Earnhardt Jr. had done this, he'd be the winner right now. Heck, he DID do it once in the early days of this silly rule. Or, if Stewart himself had passed Regan Smith like this, he would get the win.

NASCAR just made a decision based on driver name and sponsor pull.

l can pretty much guarantee that if Jr had pulled a move like Regan Smith did he would have won today. My hands are tied on this issue though - l am a Smoke fan and was glad to see him win.

It would have been okay for Kyle Busch to pass belowe the line but if Dale Jr passed below the line then he would have been black flagged a whole lap. Kyle has already gotten away with it in the Aaron is 499 earlier this year.
