My eyes tell me no. Hes a dumb rookie who didnt realize who he had in front of him, and dont get me wrong, l cant stand Tony Stewart [Jr Fan go #88] but still...this is obv. one of those controversial finishes, like the one at Daytona between Martin and Harvick. Anyways, was he literally forced, or did he make a move that then forced him down, or did he just outright go down?

Im not going to say he is a dumb rookie.
But Regan decided to try & pass underneath like Carl did last week at Kansas.
When he tried to pass him his tires went below the line & he was violating the rule of passing under the yellow line. Then he went fully under.
And l dont think it matters who was in front of him, whether it was Tony Stewart or somone like Kenny Wallace, he tried to pass so he could win.
And yes, it is going to be counted as one of the most controversial finishes in NASCAR.

He was forced, he faked Tony high, went low and Toy went down. It was wither wreck Tony or do the smart thing and he got screwed for not wrecking the field.

Yes he was forced. If he'd kept his car right where it was Stewart would've wrecked, and possibly wiped out a dozen or so more cars. That is what will happen next time

Nope, he was not forced. Stewart tried to block him but gave him plenty of room after the block, R smith had plenty of time to back off.

l heard the announcers call it a rookie mistake, he could have held his line and spun them both, he could have done exactly what he did, either way it is a lesson learned.

yes he was forced below the yellow line by tony but tony has the right to block him even if he forced him down there acording to the rule book.

IF YOU WATCH THE DAVE DISPAIN SHOW YOU will see that stewart ONLY blocked his car was to far ahead of smith to force him down below the yellow line. This question was asked soo many times that HOW MANY TIMES DO l HAVE TO SAY THAT HE WAS NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER FORCED BELOW THAT LINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET it
IF HE WAS REALLY R E A L L Y R-E-A-L-L-Y FORCED BELOW THAT LINE
NASCAR STATES
STATES THAT IF YOU ARE FORCED l MEAN FORCED LIKE HOW YOU KEEP HARPING ON THE FORCED PART HE SSSSHHHOOOOUUUUUULLLLLLLDDDDDD HAVE SSSTTTTAAAAYYYYEEDDDDD WHERE HE WAS WHICH WAS SECOND THEN HE WOULD NOT HAVE FINISHED 18

nope. he should have faked high, faked low, then gone back high. or held his position & let tony slide across his nose & into the infield. or worked with menard a little earlier to get a serious run to the outside going. but he should not have gone below the line. he had a run but did not have his nose in their deep enough to claim he had the position. & even if he did, that is more reason he should have held tight & battled with tony door-to-door. but he couldn't, so he didn't. but u can not blame him for trying. it was the bold move, they just do not always work out - just ask carl edwards.

Yes he was forced down there because he had a fender inside of Tony is car Yes he should have stayed in the gas and sent Tony spinning into the gas or into the rest of the field Yes he should have won the race or Tony should have been black-flagged and made to go to the rear of the field, too.

He was not forced down. Stewart was blocking him, as any other driver would have. Ragan could have slowed down. Everyone knows the rules..you can not pass underneath the yellow line. l did not think it was such a big deal, I'd call it common sense. Stewart easily won, just like Harvick easily won Daytona last year.

l agree with Rowdy is #1 fan, l do not think he was forced. l also would not call him dumb. Is he a rookie, yes. Is he dumb no, in fact l commend him for taking a chance. It shows that he is willing to do what it takes to win and that is something that both sponsors and owners can appreciate. He probably wo not make that mistake a second time. It is a learning process.

Mike Helton sure did not see the same race or replay tape of the finish. Ragan should have pulled a Kyle Busch and hit Tony and knocked him out of the way. That sure would have been OK. Stewart knew he was beaten, he jerked his gloves off and fired them at his dashboard immediately after the finish line. l think they just wanted to placate Gibbs.

Yes. Regan had a fender beside Tony & Tony moved down to the line which forced Regan below the line. It was clearly defined by Mike Helton what forcing someone below the line is. If someone has a fender alongside of u & u move to the line to protect ur position then that is considered forcing someone across the line & is subject to a black flag.
