What do you think of the FIA's proposal to ban engines and make FI pedal powered to create a green image?

It still would not make it interesting.

The races may be a little more exciting rather than just the first lap when all the cars are bunched up. Seriously l love F1 but it is not that thrilling after about 3 laps. They are the most advaced cars in the world and there is almost no passing.

wow, l did not know this..but l still think its a bit ridiculous. They should not change what is already good.

l think there is just the slightest chance you're making it up as you go along.

l bet the FIA would let Ferrari have the bigger pedals and say there was no corruption in F1

This solution l have craved
all that money could be saved
they no longer break the bank
no more posing.. no more swank ..!

just some lads with oily rags.
lounging round with half smoked fags
tinkering with the spindle pedals
competing for some shiny medals

each could get a running start
every country could take part
drink & drug test for the drivers
we do not want no cheats or skivers..!

and some girls as well as chaps
..they might do a few less laps
helmets could be different hue
girls wear pink & boys in blue

20 laps would be enough
to show us they could do their stuff
no more pit stops,no more fuel
just the race..it would be cool.!!

At least that WOULD be creating a green image. It is a bit pathetic really ''oh, we have a green stripe, that means this is an environmentally friendly sport''. Never mind the hundreds of miles they race at high speed, or the flying half way around the world for each individual grand prix.

If they were serious about trying to make F1 more green, they should keep the vast majority, if not all races in a small section of the globe, with Europe being the obvious choice.

Restricting development even more would also help, as would changing the cars themselves to make them more fuel efficient. l think the main contributions r from flying a hundred or so people, along with the cars themselves, tyres, spare parts etc. all over the place though.

l think it would improve over taking.

Ridiculous, they've really not thought it through. If they were really serious about creating a green image they'd scrap the pedals, cut a hole in the floor of the car & let the drivers wheel their way around the circuit. Plus it would kill two birds with one stone, you'd no longer have the problem that the driver with the best car wins, you'd actually see what drivers had proper skill! force india would have their first podium in no time!



P.s On a serious note, Wth is up with the green paint on the tyres? they actually think people will see that & suddenly feel they have a need to sell their car & walk everywhere in order to save the planet?

Pedal powered??? Wow.. it is good to take the initiative to go green but will it work or not is another matter. l think the team taht will be cheering the loudest is Honda. They've been trying to promote green-ness for a while already
