l never said Piquet did it on purpose, l think the ''That is it Im fired'' expression on his face was enough. But I am saying that maybe the other teams might say ''wait a second... we could use this...''. And I am not saying it should be done either, l think the SC rules should be changed but then something should be done about the street races.

l do not think it will happen. It might aid a driver to a higher position, but it could backfire. plus its an expensive way to try to throw the race when you total an F1 car!

No, its pretty unethical and unfair. One thing about F1 is the other drivers support their teamates but not to the detriment of their safety.
Its a daft idea and one, if its proved Renailt did this, then it sould be stamped out asap.

Eh? No no no! It is breaching the sporting regulations big time! Plus, it would cost the team a lot to smash one of their cars to benefit another of their drivers. No team boss in their right mind would want to do that. Plus, imagine how the driver whose car has to be smashed would feel. He is racing to show his talent & skills (no no, not to show he has skills in hitting the wall) & to try to score points to win the championship or at least improve his ranking

l think what they can do is change the safety car rule. Allow drivers to pit even under safety car conditions as it was allowed before. But if they still feel it is dangerous, maybe they can limit the number of cars in the pit lane, instead of disallowing pitting under the safety cars. Some can not help going in or else run dry on fuel in the middle of the track (and maybe causing yet another safety car). No other driver should benefit or suffer from another is misfortune (Just look at what people were saying about Alonso is victory in Singapore)

Well, Schumi was once penalised for deliberately spinning and causing yellow flag during Monaco qualifying. so, the ''idea'' is probably not new but if you get caught or if the stewards or Bernie believe you did it on purpose, there goes your career.
