Do you think Kyle Petty will retire sooner than expected since they got the green light to build another camp

l assumed he retired years ago, l check the top 30 in monday mornings paper every week and l have not seen his name there since the 90s.

And he is only going to drive part-time next season. Since Chad McCumbee will likely take over.

l read an article about Kyle Petty, Petty Enterprises wants to open the seat up for another driver. So Kyle is asking other teams for a ride, Kyle has 15 race sponsership for next year too. If he doesnt find another team, he will stay at PettyEnt.

Why would he need to wait for a green light to build another camp? The Petty family own it so they would have to wait on no one except for funding, and l doubt there hurting for that and they have bought 70 + acres of ground 4 or 5 miles south of Kansas Speedway....ujn

l have watched NA$Car since late 50 is and a nascar without a Petty is hard to swallow but being a realist it is about time for Kyle to retire. Hopefully the team will rebound and become a strong contender again but to that itneeds new blood behind the wheel. God bless the King

Sure. But he better remain an announcer.
He has to at least do that for us.

Kyle has been scaling back his racing.He is looking for a driver & is checking out several of them.Each year he runs fewer events & does more announcing & interview type shows.
As for some comments about not being a top driver,well drivers like Kyle helped build this sport so that todays stars have the jobs they have today.
NASCAR without a Petty is going to be strange just as it was without an Allison.But racing will go on & when we cheer our favorite we can thank the drivers of the 50's,6o's,and 70 is for making this great sport what it is today.
