l am doing a racing experience next week at the New Hampshire Speedway, l am Stoked!!l am doing 36 laps (per my pakcage).My question(s) are; has anyone done this at this particular track?If so, what was your top speed and did you have to down shift going into the turns?l have not driven a stick shift in about 5 years and though once you learn you never forget, l am still a little intimitated by the whole experience and do not wanna stall out!!!I've been to this track to see the Sprint guys and know their top speeds are around 130mph as the track really has no banking so l was wondering what l might top at.Thanks for your replies...

Do not be nervous, keep your adrenaline high. Downshifting differs according to the track. I've never raced at New Hampshire, so l can not help with that, but you will get plenty of instruction before you take off. Have fun!!

l have done it at Charlotte..which is not like NHMS at all, but l know people who have done it at Richmond, which is somewhat similar, & the fastest I've heard going there is 100-110. l highly doubt u will be downshifting in the turns because some people just flat out do not know what they r doing. You will not stall the car out, these cars r almost impossible to stall out. There is also a chip in the ignition box so u cant over-rev the motor. Just follow the instructor is line that is front of you. You will have to stay 3-5 cars back & follow the line. usually they have markings on the track u stay between or under. they will explain it all to you, do not be nervous. It is a BLAST!! l did 18 laps in Charlotte, & went 145mph. It goes by quick, so enjoy it!

ive done the ride along u average around 110 115, they didnt down shift at all stayed in 4th the whole time , youll have a blast it seems alot more banked when ur on it then watching fromt he stands

if you down shift you aint running fast enough the only time you should come out of 4th gear after getting up to speed is when you bring it in!

It might take you a minute to get used to the stick shif again, but do not let it intimidate you! Just focus and let your adrenaline run.maybe 90-100mph? Have you ever gone that fast in anything else? Try it before you go, and maybe you will pass the 100mph mark! At least you will know what it feels like at that speed on a straight road.
