l personally think Carl drove like a Kamikaze idiot and it was very unprofessional
Just my 2 cents. How could anyone say that anyone else would have done the same thing. He drove directly into the wall.He had a zero chance to catch Jimmie in an ordinary non Buschlike fashion.I am in a happy mood by the way.Just tired of the hypocrisy.

Of course.
Sorry, had to go check on dinner. To finish where l was going with this. When it comes to the court of public opinion, Kyle can do no right. Trust me, I've been on here all season defending him. Even when he does things that I've seen a dozen or so other drivers pull at one point or another, they defend the others, crucify Kyle. Boggles the mind.

Carl went for the win. It did not work and he finished 2nd, exactly where he would have finished if he had not tried. You say idiot - l say entertaining. l do not know if the #18 would have been ridiculed or not. He is bounced off the wall plenty this year. It is worked out pretty well for him. Have all of the JGR fans lost their sense of humor? : )

If he would have done the same thing as Carl and only hit the wall, and not another car, l think it would have just been expected. If he would have hit Johnson then ya, he would have been criticized.

It depends. Carl after the race went over to Jimmie Johnson is car as a sign of good sportsmanship & asked Jimmie how far he cleared his car during the pass. Carl was concerned that he could have wrecked Jimmie & was not sure how close he was to him. Like l said that was a sign of good sportsmanship.
However l have yet to see the same sportsmanship from Kyle since he is been racing. In fact l have seen right the opposite. Kyle even got aggressive with Carl after the Bristol race . REMEMBER?
So how can someone expect the same reaction from the fans. Kyle is not the same as Carl. Kyle has gone through the season picking his fights, especially against Dale Jr & his fans so why should him or his fans or u expect anything more than the response that Kyle gets? He is wanted to be the bad boy . he made his bed . & now he is laying in it.

the difference is that Kyle would have slammed into Jimmy, and Jimmy would be the one who hit the wall.

Absolutely.it would have been a dumb move, over agressive driving, trying to wreck Jimmie,or Jr. or anyone else near him.they should penalize him, tar & feather him, he is a thorn in NASCAR is side, he is too immature, whiny crybaby, arrogant, cocky, etc.and he should not even be driving because he does not know how. LOL
Oh l forgot.it was a cheating move. he was cheating by going up to the wall. how else did he win 8 races but by cheating. yanno???
Great question. Star for u my friend!!!

Yeah, he would've. People find something wrong with everything Kyle Busch does. l am not a fan of his, and l know he is done some questionable things in the past, but you'd think he was pure evil the way some people go on about him.

Yes, his critics would have came up with numerous reasons. If l was Carl, l would have done the same thing. He had a shot and he took it.

No. If Kyle had done that, l would have thought that was cool ! Edwards said he has been wanting to try that, one of the NASCAR video games you can do it-he says. Sure, it was kamikaze, he is a young '' l feel bullet proof'' stud. Jimmie Johnson said last night he saw what Edwards was doing, hit his brakes as Edwards went by, then back on the gas. It was an interview with Hendrick, Johnson & Gnaus done by members of the press.

There is a difference between the two is Edwards swept in FRONT of Johnson and did not try and use him to hold his line. He took a calculated risk with his position in the chase and could have ended up 15th as easily as 2nd. What he did the Kyle fails to do was talk to the media afterward in a sane professional fashion. l am no fan of Edwards but he did make it interesting.

Yes. But Carl is not the one dubbed ''Rowdy''. Carl is more precise in his execution of driving style. And l appreciate how Carl can control himself until the very last lap. The very last half of a lap. He knows exactly what he is doing. This is why Carl is the only one able to rival Jimmie Johnson. Watch what Kyle does for the rest of the chase. He is not done making himself look bad, l guarantee that. Did u notice how Carl congratulated Jimmie after the race? Kyle would've been all uptight for coming in second. Carl is fun & makes racing exciting. Kyle is just ''Wild ''Rowdy'' u name it. And the fans know it. Carl was only taking the last ditch effort to win the race. Everybody l knew jumped up out of their seat in excitement. When Kyle pulls his little stunts, he just makes everybody wince. You can not even begin to compare Kyle with Carl. Just watch what Kyle does next & u will understand what l already know. And l do not even need my crystal ball to figure this out.

l think you're being way too critical. the 99 drove like anybody else would have in the same position. we've all driven this way to beat someone to get to the stoplight first. lighten up T.

Yeah.anything negative Kyle haters can find about him they will use. When other people do it it is called good racing, though.

Hey CArl was trying for the win. Had to try something he did and it didnt work. As for Kyle doing something like this he would have just been being himself. l would expect something like this from him. And l wouldnt have critisized it either. Going for the win. You got to do what you got to do. It is the chase.

Well, l think if Kyle had pulled a move like that he would have secured a win ;). But yes, l do think he would have been criticized if he had done something like that. However, l do not blame Carl. l am not a big fan of his but he wanted that win and went for it. Nothing like an exciting finish!

Is this the real Tbone? Yes the #18 would have been ridiculed no matter what he does. Thats just the way it is. l applaud what Carl did yesterday and l would do the same thing if Kyle would have done it. l think it took a pretty good size set of juevos to do that just like Kyle Busch has. Lets go racin at Talladega Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

people have incredibly selective memories when it suits them. it is barely been 18 months since jeff burton took the wind off kyle is car while passing him on the outside coming to the finish line in the vegas busch series race in 2007. not only did kyle finish second, but he did so sliding backwards across the line & slamming into the wall. no, kyle did not cause it, & no, i'm not blaming burton for reckless driving. it was good hard racing & kyle is behavior afterwards showed that he knew that it was.
what l am saying is that even after that, kyle got out of his car & went down & shook hands with burton while he was still in his car. kyle knows very well who he is racing & how they like to race. carl edwards is no angel. for further proof, refer back to a certain busch race in 2006 where he got a little loose on a final restart, junior got into the back of him & spun him into the infield grass. carl went around into the pits, had a few choice words with junior is crew, then kamikazed back onto the track to run smack dab into junior is left side, while junior had his arm part-way out the window.
how quickly people forget.
and to answer ur question, yes, but kyle would more than likely have pulled it off, like he did when he passed jimmie on the outside at chicagoland & made it stick.so by my count, when it comes to beating jimmie with amazing ''hail mary'' passes, my count is rowdy 1, carl 0. yes, carl did beat jimmie once with a pass on the way to the checkers, but it was not a bonzai move so it does not fall into the same category.
