Formula One has those ''funny'' European-type drivers whose names you can not pronounce.

Formula One is the pinnacle of motorsport. The best of the best. Also the cars are all built from scratch by the constructors, wheras in most other motorsports the cars are all the same or can be purchased.

formula 1 is what is considered ''open wheel'' racing. (no fenders on the cars) they r also lighter than stock cars, have a lower center of gravity, more horsepower, & r designed to turn both left & right equally. the bodies r made of fiberglass.

stock cars (nascar) have fenders over the wheels, heavier overall, & the weight is distributed unevenly (you have to have more weight on the right side of the car than the left) they r mostly designed to turn left (but they do have road courses with different set ups on the car. the bodies r made of metal.

both classes have certain ''specs'' & regulations they must follow to qualify to race.

Dave V - u obviously have difficulty with pronunciation. l understand that two syllables would be difficult for you, but hey, try these for starters.Hill, Moss, Clark, Glock (like ''clock'' but with a ''GUH'' okaaaay?). We will try two syllables another time, okaaaay?

The main difference is that F1 is too refined for the majority of americans to understand. Finesse can be a tad difficult for Septics.
