Working your way through the Karting leagues, getting lucky, and a crapload of cash.

right first you have to do go karting then be in formula renalt the formula 3 then gp2 then f1 all to geather in pounds 600,000 to buy parts and cars.

Well most F1 drivers started at a very very very young age.
They started with karting won everything possible to win in karting then went to the next category like Formula A world series etc. then to Formula 3000 or Formel renault or Formula bmw & some went to GP2 after that. And then some but not a lot make to Formula 1. l mean there r 20 formula 1 drivers & 1000 of people r trying. So it is hard work, discipline, talent !! & some luck.

Formula 1 drivers start gettting sponsored at the age of 10 in these days because karting is is already really expensive, more expensive then most other sports & then think of how much the other categorys cost, that is why they get help from development teams from mclaren/bmw etc & if u aint the talent there looking for, they wo not even try you.

So if ur not 3 years old & already starting to drive karts or ur not a billionaire with the best contacts in the buisness. l am really sorry but, then it is bad luck for you.
