l do because last year in weak equipment he was always in the middle of things in talladega and daytona he is a great pusher and understands the draft really well and now with this new package he looks to do better. Now the question is do you guys personally think he can win a restrictor plate race

Monty is baffling. He is proved he is a good driver but his form blows hot and cold so l would not put money on him. Also when he was in F1 he blamed ''dee car'' too often.

First of all in a plate racing, anyone can win, from almost any position..
In a DE l Chevy l consider him a genuine threat, if he can get himself in
a position to win the end, and he can get some help. Who knows what can happen.

Good question. l was thinking about that as l was watching the duels. l think he may be a threat. He looked like he had his stuff together in the duels and was very competitive. l honestly think he could win, if things go his way. Luck, pit stops, well working car, etc.

He finished 2nd at Talladega last year in a Ganassi Dodge.
Yeah.he will be a threat in a EGR Chevy. DE l cars were always good at restrictor plates.

l definitly do. First off, l am going to tell u right now that he WILL win on an oval this year. It will most likely be someplace fast, like Texas or Atlanta, but l would not be surprised if he won in any of plate races. He will be much more of a threat to make the chase now that he is out of a Dodge & into a Chevy. He is looked good so far this week & l believe he will be a factor tomorrow, either as a threat to win or as a pusher to somebody. If he can work well with Truex & Almirola, who have also looked good, any of them could score an ''upset'' victory for a team known to be strong at Daytona & Talladega.

Montoya is a great racer and can win on just about any track. Montoya will definately make the chase this year and be a contender for the championship. He will not win the championship this year, but at least he will be a contender.

No, l do not consider Montoya a threat to win a restrictor plate race. However, if he could figure out the draft it could accidentally win just like anyone else.
