An old friend who works for a racing team has offered us garage passes to a race. We are new fans of racing so we're curious as to what perks the garage passes will give us.Also, if he is giving us these passes, do we still need to buy actual tickets?

l just found out they will also give us access to Pit road as well.

You get to hang out near the garages. You do not need any other tickets.

The garage passes get you into the garage area which is awesome. You will get to get up close to the teams and the cars, it is a great photo and autograph opportunity as well. That is awesome take them!

In my experience the garage passes are only good for the garage area and you will need to buy tickets to the race if you want to sit in the grandstands and watch it. Check with your friend it will say right on the passes whether or not you need to purchase race tickets.

If you want to sit in the grandstand, you will have to get tickets..

If you get grand stand seats, make sure there is a way to get
to the grand stands from the infield, or you will have to take the car..

no, u DO NOT need to buy tickets. if someone is offering u garage passes, take em, they're sweet. u go to the credentials trailer outside of the speedway & pick up ur passes, which get u into the infield. r u being offered 'hot' or 'cold' passes? the difference is a hot pass allows u to be in the garage area even when the race is going on, so if someone wrecks, u can go back into the garage area & stand right there & watch them be interviewed by one of the pit reporters, & u can get close up the the wrecked cars in the garage area. a cold pass only allows u access when there is no activity on the track. & either gives u access to the pits, u can stand behind ur favorite drivers pit stall & watch the race. it is as behind the scenes as u will ever get.
